**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health, with the ability to assess, diagnose, and manage treatment plans for patients with a variety of mental health conditions. As a Nurse Practitioner in our practice, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including history taking, mental status exams, and diagnostic assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as appropriate, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
- Provide psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and supportive counseling to patients as needed.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure integrated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for wellness.
**Qualifications:**
- Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in Florida.
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health setting.
- Strong clinical skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care with empathy and respect.
