The successful candidate will work on various projects for municipal, industrial, and federal clients and will work directly with engineers on 2D and 3D electrical and I&C designs for facilities primarily serving the water and wastewater industries. In this role, your responsibilities will include electrical and I&C design services to develop design documents using Autocad and Revit. We are looking for candidates who have a proven track record of executing industrial and municipal electrical and I&C design work. Primary responsibilities include:
- Interpretation and markup/update of electrical design plans and specifications
- Interpretation and markup/update of I&C design drawings (P&IDs) and specifications
- Design development for facility power, control system and alarm systems
- Design development for power distribution, motor control systems and schematic development
- Design development for process and instrumentation diagrams
- Autocad drafting and Revit modeling as required supporting staff engineers to develop complete electrical and controls design
- Collaborating with a national team of technical experts in the electrical, I&C and process automation group
- Proficient in using Autocad and Revit for creating design and construction drawings
- Proficient in using Autocad Plant 3D for creating process and instrumentation control diagrams (P&IDs)
- Microstation experience a plus
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrical and I&C designer in the municipal water/wastewater and/or private industry preferred
- Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code preferred
