The Technology Security Specialist supports the implementation and management of various infrastructures and programs that are essential components of the Physical Security Technology program including : Access Control, Intrusion Detection, CCTV Systems, the Global Security Operations Center, and associated security technologies. The position supports all aspects of execution, facilitation, and the delivery of all related services. This role will manage the daily security technology operations and escalate to the manager as needed. Specific duties will vary, but there will be a key focus on using BBH Global Security procedures as well as the security industry's best practices to mitigate risk and protect the firm's assets and personnel.
This resource will work closely with our current team members to drive the Global Security and Physical Security Technology roadmap, support remediation of cyber vulnerabilities, manage upgrades / patching of existing software and platforms, etc. This analyst will also serve as a key resource dedicated to effectively supporting our Global Security operations team across the globe.
The ideal candidate is an integrator of people, technology, processes, a problem solver, is knowledgeable about physical security and IT, and has a strong foundation of best practices and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Physical security system design for capital construction and renovation processes. Collaborate with external consultants, project managers and BBH's security integrator. Conduct construction document review (i.e. blueprints, bid specs, budgets) for new construction projects and renovation projects.
- Support and manage physical security project life cycle from design and RFP through project execution and commissioning. Ensure all budgeted projects are completed and billed accordingly.
- Support the operation, deployment and maintenance of BBH's global access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection and intercom systems. Perform periodic firmware and software upgrades on Physical Security devices and servers.
- Ensures all security equipment is functioning properly - initiate preventive & corrective maintenance.
- Participate in production incident management / support and on-call rotation. Resolve production incidents within SLA's and escalate as appropriate.
- Review and analyze production incident trends, produce tech help documents, provide training to end-users and provide input on improvements to optimize the systems.
- Ensures compliance to BBH policies and procedures on Cyber and Information Security standards. Monitors, maintains, and remediates gaps identified by these standards and escalates to manager accordingly.
