Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Manage Client Relationships: Oversee and retain a diverse portfolio of clients by building strong, strategic relationships, while leading a team to ensure that client needs are met effectively and proactively.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Direct a cross-functional team to support client needs, ensuring collaboration across departments. Mentor and guide team members to achieve excellence in customer service and strategic solutions.
  • Advanced Analytical Insights: Utilize strong analytical skills to assess client data, identify trends, and develop customized strategies for improving employee benefits programs. Lead the analysis of claims utilization and cost-effectiveness, and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Client Meetings & Strategy Development: Regularly lead meetings with clients at all decision-making levels to review claims, compliance updates, pre-renewal planning, and renewal strategy. Use data-driven insights to inform strategic discussions.
  • Resolution of Escalated Issues: Lead the resolution of complex employee issues, leveraging analytical problem-solving skills and collaborating with internal resources to provide effective solutions.
  • Renewal & Funding Strategy: Oversee the planning and execution of the renewal process, using advanced analytical skills to negotiate rate renewals, assess alternative funding arrangements, and recommend carrier changes as needed.
  • Proposal & Presentation Development: Collaborate with producers to create data-backed strategies for new business, including proposals and presentations that align with clients’ objectives and ensure compliance with their requirements.
  • Client Communications & Education: Develop and deliver comprehensive communications to clients, presenting information on benefits legislation, compliance, industry trends, and new product offerings in a clear and strategic manner.
  • Data-Driven Reporting: Oversee the completion of annual Stewardship Reports and quarterly Claims Utilization Reviews, utilizing advanced analytics to evaluate program performance and provide actionable insights to clients.
  • Client Technology Support: Provide ongoing technological support to clients, ensuring their access to and understanding of the latest tools and systems for managing their benefits programs.
  • Annual Enrollment Leadership: Lead annual open enrollment meetings, utilizing data and insights to effectively communicate benefits options and strategies to employees.
  • Producer Support: Collaborate with producers to drive business growth, ensuring that all opportunities for client retention and expansion are pursued effectively.
  • Independent Decision-Making: Demonstrate the ability to make sound decisions and take decisive actions, even in situations where not all details are clear. Apply expertise and experience to navigate ambiguity and move projects forward with confidence.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience
  • Florida 2-15 Life & Health License
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education and experience)
  • Organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong human relations and professional skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of products, especially Excel
