Brown & Brown is seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our growing team in Pryor, OK.
The Business Development Specialist will develop & communicate Tribal Specific Risk Management material, complete contract reviews, perform loss control services, and perform claim services.
How You Will Contribute:
- Assist in creating and refining content related to Tribal Risk Management (RM), ensuring it aligns with client needs and industry standards.
- Manage and review client communications to ensure clear, professional, and effective messaging for ongoing relationships and client success.
- Collaborate in the development and marketing of additional risk management products, enhancing the service offerings to existing and potential clients.
- Design and distribute a monthly newsletter containing valuable insights, updates, and trends relevant to clients in Tribal Risk Management.
- Conduct assessments of client engagement to identify areas for improvement and ensure strong, lasting relationships with clients.
- Schedule and conduct periodic meetings with clients to review performance, identify opportunities, and address any emerging issues or concerns.
- Develop and publish white papers outlining industry best practices in Tribal Risk Management, offering valuable thought leadership to clients.
- Create detailed case studies focused on successful applications of risk management strategies tailored to Tribal communities, showcasing measurable results.
- Perform thorough reviews of contracts, including risk assessments, subcontract agreements, vendor contracts, and merger & acquisition agreements, ensuring compliance with best practices and identifying potential risks.
- Deliver a comprehensive suite of loss control services, including preparing training materials, conducting in-person training, performing onsite risk surveys, and executing cyber risk assessments to reduce exposure and improve risk mitigation strategies.
Licenses and Certifications:
- P&C Insurance License
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
- High School Diploma
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Exceptional telephone demeanor
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Bachelor's or associate degree in a business or financial related discipline (Preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of complex commercial insurance policies and coverages, and the ability to explain and summarize complex topics simplistically (Preferred)
- Thorough working knowledge of contractual risk transfer issues and 3 years' experience in reviewing construction, manufacturing, and lease agreements for insurance requirements and best practices. (Preferred)
- This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position
