Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Executive to join our growing team in Little Rock, AR.
The Employee Benefits Account Executive serves as the overall service contact for small to medium book employee benefits customers. This role involves a high degree of independence and discretion in decision-making. The account executive works closely with clients to understand their needs, design customized benefits packages, develop additional lines of business, and ensure smooth implementation and administration of the benefit plans
How You Will Contribute:
- Manage and retain an existing book of business and pursue new opportunities through referrals and cross-selling.
- Establish, cultivate and manage customer relations with customers and prospective decision-makers; as well as professional relationships with carrier partners, and internal resources throughout the organization.
- Plan and direct renewal process for health and life coverages. Recommend the most appropriate insurance solutions, alternative strategies, plan modeling, and cost reduction opportunities.
- Ensure renewal, sales, and insurance operations compliance requirements are documented into the agency management system.
- Establish, cultivate, and manage customer relations with all levels of customer’s decision-makers as well as the day-to-day technical customer representatives.
- Routinely meet with and educate customers on benefits legislation, regulatory requirements, compliance, and new product information that are relevant to their market size.
- Identify, develop, and oversee customer needs and service plans for each customer to ensure exceptional customer service and customer satisfaction.
- Manage resolution of customer issues as well as escalated employee enrollment and claims issues.
- Prepare and execute proposals and presentations while ensuring agreement with customer’s requests/requirements.
- Support the sales team with new business meetings and implementation of new customers.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Life & Health Insurance License required.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
- 5 years’ experience in the employee benefits industry. Proficient knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations where business is conducted.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Exceptional telephone demeanor
- Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Professional Designation specific to the area of specialty (Preferred)
- Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position.
- Four-year college degree (Preferred)
