Brown & Brown is seeking an Account Manager to join our growing team in Mechanicsburg, PA.
The Account manager will retain clients throughservicing and management of client relationships both internally and externally. Collaborate with members of the department to deliver exceptional customer service, achieve client satisfaction, and support new business opportunities.
How You Will Contribute:
- Partner with the service management team to oversee the renewal marketing process for a dedicated book of business.
- Document renewal, sales, and insurance operations compliance records in the agency management database.
- Evaluate proposals and prepare marketing documents, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), as needed.
- Prepare various reports such as utilization, stop loss, benchmarking, and pharmacy rebating, as requested.
- Collaborate with the service management team on the implementation of carrier transitions, new coverages, and changes to plan design or funding.
- Provide exceptional customer service by researching trending issues, analyzing existing plan documents, and proposing solutions to account executives or producers.
- Participate in client meetings as necessary, ensuring clear communication and understanding of client needs.
- Maintain and document client information in the agency management database, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Offer guidance to clients on employee benefit topics, including healthcare, disability, life programs, voluntary benefits, and Federal and State mandates.
- Cultivate relationships with carriers, vendors, and clients to enhance client retention and support business growth.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Insurance Producer license in good standing (Life, Health and Accident, and other authorities in states needed to service the assigned book of business). Required within 60 days of hire.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
- College Degree in a business-related field. (Preferred)
- Knowledge of employee benefit insurance coverages and contracts.
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher. Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc.
- Proficient knowledge of the use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.)
- 3 years’ experience in the insurance industry, human resources or a related field.
