We are seeking an Entry Level Insurance Clerk to join our growing team!
This position is responsible for processing cancellations, non-renewal, and reinstatement notices as well as billing cancellation endorsements.
How You Will Contribute
- Process all cancellation notices for BSG (non-payment cancellations, underwriting cancellations, non-renewals, and conditional renewals), not limited to entering notice into appropriate systems and advising Brokers and Agents of pending cancellations.
- Process notices of cancellations for non- payment, underwriting cancellations, non-renewals, and conditional renewals, not limited to entering notice into appropriate systems and advising the appropriate departments, Broker and Agents of pending cancellations.
- Correspond with Brokers, Carriers and Agents via phone, mail, and email. Respond to questions, investigate and resolve issues, and follow up on outstanding items not limited to past due payment inquiries.
- Frequently coordinate and correspond with other internal departments.
- Ensure all correspondence and requests are documented and attached to the appropriate file in the appropriate systems.
- Bill cancellation endorsements and submit ACH payments to Accounts Receivable.
- Process reinstatements for non-payment and underwriting cancellations.
- Forward return premium and/or earned premium invoices and endorsements
Skills & Experience to Be Successful
- Minimum education required High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Exceptional telephone & email demeanor
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- 1 - 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Associate or bachelor's degree in an insurance or accounting related discipline (preferred)
- Some licensing or insurance related courses (preferred)
Pay Range
$17.00 - $20.00 Hourly
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
