Brown-Campbell Company is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Plymouth, Minnesota to oversee and coordinates daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods, while managing staff, approving time cards, inventory, and ensuring safety and efficiency. The Warehouse Supervisors often work in busy environments where priorities can change at a moment’s notice, so an ability to multitask is and delegate is essential with this role.
This position will be hands-on and based primarily on the warehouse floor actively involved in the daily operations and supporting to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Warehouse Supervisor job duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Directly supervise and lead warehouse staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring they are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Communicate effectively with staff, management, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Approve time cards weekly and ensure accurate timekeeping procedures.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and address any issues or concerns, including disciplinary action.
- Motivate, inspire and inform the team to of ongoing goals to achieve and maintain a positive work environment with weekly and monthly meetings.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are sufficient to meet demand.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring timely and accurate shipments.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages, and place orders as needed.
- Enforce safety regulations and procedures in the warehouse.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in safe working order.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving personnel to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
Qualifications
- GED required - Bachelor Degree or high preferred.
- At least 2 years of supervisor experience required, 3 years preferred.
- Ability to read tape measure
- Basic math skills required
- Prior experience with any of the following: welding, sawing and/or shearing
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills required, preferably in warehouse setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with management and team members.
- Forklift experience
- Blueprint reading ability is a plus
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
- Experience with warehouse safety regulations, OSHA and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems (Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Strong team management skills with a focus on process improvement
- Proficiency in inventory management and control, including logistics
- Experience with e-commerce operations and materials handling
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Knowledge of distribution center operations

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
