Brown-Campbell Company is seeking to hire an Inside Sales Representative to join our Corporate Sales team in Shelby Twp, Michigan. This position is primarily responsible for sales growth and building customer relationships through excellent account management skills and customer service.
Compensation includes salary, commission, and a bonus plan. We also offer medical & dental insurance, paid time off, and a matching 401K program. Hours of operation is 8am-5pm.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate must have a minimum of three years sales experience in inside sales. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but, not required depending on the person’s level of experience. The individual must be aggressive, competitive, and possess a self-motivated attitude. Experience with Grating, Perforated & Expanded Metal, Roof Deck or Wire Cloth is a plus.
Superior communication skills (both verbal and written) are a must. Proficiency with Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, & Outlook) is vital. Very strong math aptitude, detailed oriented and negotiation skills are required. The individual must have the ability to work well and excel while working with a team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Daily interaction with large customer base.
- Responding to customer’s inquiries and requirements.
- Administrative processing of customer orders (i.e. quotations and order entry).
- Follow-up and closing quotes and orders.
- Out calling to customers in company’s data base (not cold calling).
- Expedite all orders to achieve 100% on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Sourcing for non-stocked items.
- Sharing of any interaction and involvement with customers that might require the outside salesperson’s attention, or may result in additional sales.
- Understanding the goals and concepts of our business and incorporating business goals to achieve sales and profitability.
- Working closely with branch manager, credit, inventory, systems, warehouse, and other departments in the company.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
