Job Summary
This full-time, in-person, position supports our Headquarters team with various daily tasks in Shelby Township, MI. The candidate will be handling a wide range of support-related tasks for our Marketing and Accounting departments. Candidate should be able to work independently with little or no supervision after initial training period is complete. We are looking for a candidate that is a team player and can remain flexible, dedicated, and efficient with various responsibilities across two departments and be able to work under dual leadership. 7:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
- Support Marketing Team
o Website design liaison with outside web development company
o Obtain photos / videos of products and manufacturing processes for the website and print materials
o Research competitor and other websites for improvement ideas to recommend to management
o Maintain website design with continuous updates and added content
o Daily mailing of print catalogs to customers
o Update marketing data in computer database (SIC codes, etc)
o Prepare/mail marketing announcements to customers (new locations, new personnel)
o Collate and distribute quarterly internal newsletter to team members
o Forward internet requests to sales personnel as needed when primary person is out of office
o Ship promo items to sales personnel as requested
o Miscellaneous marketing tasks
- Support Accounting Team
o Professionally answer phones during certain hours of the day as needed with courtesy and respect
o Post miscellaneous checks and credit card payments and make deposits
o Track truck reports (gas receipts, mileage), prepare annual summary
o Update credit memo log
o Work on collections, send out past due invoices to customers
o Prepare mileage calculation reports
o Prepare scrap reports
o Review and manage daily email/fax reports
o Send out customer requested statements
o Miscellaneous accounting department tasks
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate with a minimum of (2) years experience in an office environment with proven expertise in phone, email and computer skills including word and excel.
- Must have the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to details and to organize, prioritize and work independently as well as schedule and produce work in a timely manner.
- Must have the ability to work with several professional staff members across different departments and prioritize the tasks appropriately.
- Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner.
- Must have a high level of verbal communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with fellow team members throughout the organization.
