What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adventure Park Coordinator (LTE) position at Brown County?
Brown County is seeking an energetic individual to be an Adventure Park Coordinator (LTE) at the Adventure Park at the NEW Zoo. The coordinator will assist in daily operations and maintenance of the Adventure Park located at the NEW Zoo in Suamico, WI. The Adventure Park consists of an aerial challenge course, dual racing 1,000-foot zip-lines, 32-foot-high climbing wall, kid’s kourse, canopy tour, and fat bike, snowshoe, cross country ski rental fleet. The coordinator will be responsible for guaranteeing exceptional customer service to our guests from start to finish. This position is in a growing and quickly evolving adventure park industry. Job duties will include providing exceptional customer service, vending and ticket sales, cash handling, proper use/inspection/fitting of personal protection equipment, program development and facilitation, assisting with staff hiring and training, scheduling, and course inspection/maintenance.
Hours/Schedule Info: Coordinator should expect to work many varied shifts as needed including nights, holidays and weekends. The Adventure Park is open daily 9am-6pm during the operating season.Always ensure a safe and enjoyable adventure for visitors. Safety is our #1 goal.

Lead admissions and concessions sales.
Aid in maintaining the building, grounds, and courses.
Keep records as required by supervisor.
Lead equipment program operations.
Assist in supervision of daily operation of the park.
Aid in inspections and documenting inspections of ziplines, aerial challenge course, kids kourse, climbing wall, and aerial canopy tour.
Create and execute new programming.
Provide supervision and leadership in the absence of the Adventure Park Supervisor.Bachelor's Degree in Education, Outdoor Education, Marketing, or Communications preferred
Must be 18 years or older
Group program planning and facilitation experience preferred
Able to complete the appropriate training and maintain certifications through ACCTEnergetic and exceptional attitude
Knowledge of Adventure Park operations
Ability to learn point of sale system and cash handling
Knowledge in hiring and training staff
Ability to create and implement new programs
Ability to be active for an entire 8 hour shift
Ability to learn and apply advanced technical skills
Ability to remain professional
Knowledge in facilitation experience or the ability/interest to learn group facilitation theory
Ability to work the required hours of the position
- Primary focus is on SAFE overall Adventure Park operations, and program facilitation
- Performs point of sale operations following county cash handling policies
- Supervise and schedule Adventure Park guides
- Will assist with performing adventure course inspection and maintenance
- Assist in hiring and training staff
- Develop and facilitate experiential education group programs
- Coordinates daily operations of rental programs
