What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Operations Manager - Clerk of Courts position at Brown County?
Supervises, directs and coordinates the work of staff performing the financial functions for the Clerk of Courts. Responsible for fiscal matters and the computer network administration of the Clerk of Courts Office.
Supervises financial operations and subordinate staff in the collection, custody, deposit, accounting, disbursement and auditing of financial transactions and controls in the court system.
Develops and implements procedures for Consolidated Court Automation Programs (CCAP) as the Network Administrator for the Clerk of Courts Office.
Coordinates, directs and supervises all automated financial functions of the department.
Develops internal work flow procedures.
Coordinates, directs and supervises the Courts' Jury system.
Prepares and reconciles financial reports, and the annual Clerk of Courts budget.
Performs financial analyses.
Interprets and implements new or revised laws, policies and procedures.
Develops and maintains up-to-date procedure manuals related to financial processes and all other automated systems manuals.
Participates in hiring of staff.
Supervises the general office staff in the absence of the Clerk or Chief Deputy Clerk of Courts.
Performs related functions as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting with three years of experience in a court environment; three years of experience in a supervisory position; three years of experience working with automated financial systems; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Knowledge of accounting.
Knowledge of laws and regulations relating to court operations.
Knowledge of and ability to utilize a computer and the required software.
Ability to work independently working with a variety of records and systems.
Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to manage, plan, organize and direct work of subordinates.
Ability to work the required hours of the position.

Salary : $29 - $35
