We are seeking an Intern to join our Valuation team in the Charleston, WV office!
Our internship program allows you to experience real valuation and consulting engagements while developing firm and industry relationships. This is an opportunity to utilize one’s educational background and organizational skills as one serves the firm’s dynamic client base. A Valuation Intern will assist in the performance of financial and valuation analysis as well as the writing of valuation reports under the supervision of more experienced valuation professionals.

What your day looks like:
Valuation
- Gather underlying financial and non-financial information used in valuation engagements.
- Conduct detailed financial and valuation analysis and modeling.
- Research current economic, industry, and benchmarking data on subject companies.
- Develop interrogatories for subject company management and/or owners.
- Participate in discussions with management and document key discussion topics.
- Assist in the application of various valuation techniques.
- Assist in the writing of certain sections of detailed valuation reports.
- Enhance Microsoft Excel and Word experience.
- Participates in structured on-the-job training opportunities.
- Provides assistance to all levels of Associates and Partners.
- Develops an understanding of internal practices.
- Develops an understanding of teamwork within a work environment.
- Junior or Senior working towards an Accounting, Finance, or Economics Degree.
- 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Availability of 15-30 hours per week during Summer season (May- August).
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
