As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office/hospital. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule referral appointments
- Take and record vital signs. Prepare patients for examination.
- Assist during medical examinations and surgical procedures
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Change dressings
- Ordering medical supplies and re-stock supplies in patient rooms.
- Give injections
- Draw labs when needed. Process office labs and procedures.
- Proper disposal of medical waste.
Skills
- Graduate of an accredited school of medical assistant, current state medical license, and BCLS certification.
- Preference given to employee with medical office experience.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
