Meaningful Work From Day One
Managing Brown-Forman’s global property insurance programs to ensure alignment with company objectives while balancing the potential risk and loss exposures. Lead the design and administration of insurance analytics.
What You Can Expect
- Partnering with the Director of Insurance, to develop renewal strategies, objectives, and presentations for the real property, stock throughput, earthquake, and other property insurance programs as needed.
- Preparing the renewal analytics for all insurance programs submission.
- Effectively prepare the MFL (Maximum Foreseeable Loss) and the earthquake PML (Probable Maximum Loss) estimate calculations and review them to ensure their accuracy.
- Collaborate across the company to compile all property insurance claim settlement activities, insured and self-insured.
- Ensure that the company’s property insurance programs comply with local regulatory and tax requirements around the world by collaborating with the company’s tax area and the international insurance broker.
- Assist Director with monitoring changes in the company’s operations, visit offices, plants or warehouses, and consult with the area management to appropriately identify, analyze and address exposures to loss.
- Assist Director in communicating key policy warranties and loss prevention recommendations to the plant operations and engineering management and regularly audit plant practices to ensure full compliance with the warranty requirements.
- Effectively communicate with the Director to achieve optimal results on the property programs.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience: Five years of experience in property insurance and/or risk management field in a corporate risk management department
- Sound property insurance technical knowledge
- Excellent Word, Excel, Google documents and PowerPoint skills
- Creative thinker
- Ability to exercise sound, independent judgment
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Professional insurance designations: ARM (Associate in Risk Management) , CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter)
- Basic knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) codes and fire protection practices
- Knowledge of SAP (System Applications Products) and BW (Business Warehouse) systems
