We are seeking a part-time Physician Assistant to join the Brown Health Medical Group in Fall River, MA. You will assist the orthopedic surgeons in managing patients in outpatient, inpatient and operating room settings.
Responsibilities :
Obtain and record patient histories and identify and assess problems while interviewing and examining patients
Order and interpret lab and imaging studies
Act as surgical first assist for a variety of Neurosurgery and General Surgery procedures, both intracranial and spine
Manage inpatient and outpatient Neurosurgery and General Surgery duties, including perioperative care
Collaborate with the supervising physician to manage post-operative patients in PACU floor or ICU
Provide patient and family education and instruction on pre- and post-operative care
Qualifications :
Graduate of an AMA accredited Physician Assistant programwith current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Massachusetts
1 years of experience in a surgical program preferred
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
