Primary Duties:
- Oversee daily accounting activities to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Support month-end closing process, including preparing and entering recurring and non-recurring journal entries, preparing account reconciliation for balance sheet accounts and material income statement accounts, ensuring appropriate intercompany cost allocations and support reconciliation of intercompany AR / AP between subsidiaries, and preparing income statement and balance sheet variance analysis
- Helping coordinate, prepare and review financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
- Support miscellaneous internal reporting needs, both recurring and non-recurring, for internal stakeholders across the organization
- Assist with preparation of consolidation entries and intercompany eliminations
- Assist with tax preparation, filing, and planning strategies in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Assist in the coordination of external audits by preparing documentation and supporting audit activities.
- Provide support for special projects and initiatives related to accounting and financial management as needed.
Secondary Duties:
- Assist with the treasury functions, including routine bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
- Support with financial related administrative items across the organization, including 1099 reporting and occupational license renewals
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA or CPA candidate actively working toward license preferred
Experience:
- 2-4 years of public accounting or industry experience, preferably in the construction industry
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience with financial statement preparation, reconciliations, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and internal controls.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel strongly preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.

- Work with cross-functional teams to obtain support and prepare/maintain comprehensive documentation in support of month-end close
- Communicating relevant deadlines / milestones to team members and ensuring that team members can meet their respective deadlines.

- Mobility: Primarily office-based.
