Brown & James, P.C. is seeking experienced defense litigation paralegal. Practice areas include insurance law, premises and retail liability, product liability, professional liability, and transportation.
Job Responsibilities: Obtain medical, employment, Social Security and workers' compensation records; Maintain chronological order of all case related records; Prepare and summarize medical records and all other case related records as required by lawyer; Prepare deposition indexes as needed for trial; Assist with trial preparations;
Job Requirements:
· Must have Paralegal Studies Associate’s Degree or Paralegal Certification
· Must have knowledge of medical terminology, conditions, standard practices/treatments, and billing practices
· Must be able to accurately summarize medical billing information
· Must possess ability to manage large volume document productions. Knowledge of electronic document review programs a plus.
· Must be able to maintain a consistent method of organization
· Must possess knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures
· Must have the ability to handle competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Must possess strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail
· Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
