Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Fremont, OH. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for maintaining, setting up, and running equipment efficiently to maximize machine utilization and ensure parts are produced to exact specifications according to the production schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, setup, adjust, and operate a variety of CNC machine tools (3-5 axis milling; mill/turn lathes; surface grinding, jig grinding, ID/OD grinding; and wire EDM).
- Perform complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to exacting tolerances and finish specifications.
- Understand feeds, speeds, tooling, and operational sequences.
- Review part process and program off-line for potential problems before they occur.
- Read and understand multi-view drawings and blueprints.
- Perform needed metrology inspections and report issues.
- Set-up and monitor multiple machines.
- Fully understand fit and function of components to ensure proper function of assemblies.
- Work with minimum supervision in regard to technical assistance.
- Use exceptional problem-solving skills and offer potential solutions when faced with adversity.
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma; preference for a certificate program in manufacturing processes or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in high-tech machining, including adjusting feeds, speeds, tooling, and operational sequencing on mills and lathes.
- Strong eagerness to learn and master advanced machining techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings with a familiarity with a CAM working environment.
- Proficiency in reading CNC G-Code, with experience using Fanuc, Siemens and other controls preferred.
- Solid mechanical knowledge, ideally in a CNC machining setting.
- Willingness and availability to work off-shift schedules, as needed.
