Brown Medicine’s Division of Gastroenterology is seeking an energetic, motivated physician to join our expanding practice in Rhode Island.
Brown Medicine is a multi-specialty faculty practice group with over 200 physicians and multiple patient care locations across the State of Rhode Island. One of the largest physician groups in Rhode Island, Brown Medicine is affiliated with the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and employs most of the full-time faculty of Brown’s Department of Medicine. The three-part mission of Brown Medicine is high quality patient care, cutting edge clinical research, and dedicated teaching of more than 400 medical students, residents, and fellows. The Brown Medicine Division of Gastroenterology is a well-established academic practice with a strong alliance with Brown University Health, a major healthcare system in RI. We provide comprehensive care for patients with common GI conditions and are leaders in management of complex inflammatory bowel disease, liver diseases, advanced endoscopy, and gastrointestinal malignancies. Endoscopic services are provided at state-of-the-art in-patient and out-patient units.
Our well-established fellowship training program accepts three exceptional fellows annually. The successful candidate will engage in teaching students, fellows, and house staff in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Board certification / eligibility is required. Expertise in general GI, hepatology is preferred.

About the job :
- Join a team of 12 gastroenterologists and multiple advanced practice providers
- Scope 800 case per year
- Call 1 : 5-6 weekends with fellows' assistance
- 4 days of clinical activities and 1 day of administrative time
- Strong presence of specialized nurses and pharmacists on site
- Individualized ancillary practice support
- Academic appointment to Brown University
