Position Summary :
Join our dynamic team as an Associate Underwriter in our Wholesale Insurance Brokerage. In this role, you will manage assigned accounts and assist with underwriting and processing new and renewal business. Your responsibilities will include servicing policy files and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues, all while adhering to Brown & Riding's core values and goals.
Essential Functions :
- Manage all aspects of assigned accounts in consultation with the binding underwriter.
- Screen renewals, send out renewal and non-renewal letters, and handle loss runs for renewals.
- Log submissions into our management system and gather necessary underwriting information.
- Ensure all quotes contain essential information for policy issuance and binders.
- Review inspections and resolve discrepancies for final approval from underwriters.
- Assist underwriters with information gathering, training, and policy issuance.
- Engage in marketing initiatives, including joint calls and event invitations with retailer brokers.
Above all, you will ensure that our clients receive the policies they were promised by Brown & Riding.
