Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, ensuring quality and accuracy.
Organize and maintain inventory levels to support production or project schedules.Monitor stock levels and initiate orders to replenish supplies as needed.Logistics CoordinationSchedule and track the transportation of materials to ensure timely delivery to job sites or production areas.
Work with vendors and carriers to resolve shipping issues or delays.Coordinate material movement within the facility to ensure efficient workflows.Documentation & Record-KeepingMaintain accurate records of inventory levels, material usage, and purchase orders.
Update and manage material tracking systems or software.Prepare reports on inventory status, material usage, and delivery schedules.Collaboration & CommunicationWork closely with procurement, production, and project teams to identify material needs and priorities.
Communicate with vendors and suppliers to confirm orders, delivery schedules, and pricing.Address material shortages or discrepancies promptly to minimize disruptions.Compliance & SafetyEnsure materials are stored and handled in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Participate in inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain data accuracy.Report any safety concerns or material quality issues to the appropriate parties.Qualifications
Experience :2-4 years of experience in material coordination, logistics, or inventory management.
Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial settings is a plus.Education :High school diploma or GED required.
Associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred.Skills :Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and ability to solve problems proactively.Certifications (Preferred) :APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).Working Conditions
Primarily warehouse or production facility-based, with occasional office work.May involve standing, walking, or lifting materials up to 50 pounds.Requires adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
