We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our Firm. In this role, you will collaborate with attorneys, other paralegals, and departments across the Firm to provide essential support in bankruptcy and restructuring matters. This role offers opportunities to work on a variety of cases and projects, contributing to meaningful outcomes for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage and track assigned cases, ensuring accurate completion of all related tasks and projects.
- Draft and prepare notices, motions, fee applications, proofs of claim, and other legal documents.
- Organize and prepare materials for depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Communicate and coordinate with courts, trustees, and opposing counsel to advance case progress.
- Monitor case dockets and deadlines, maintaining calendars to ensure timely filings and compliance with court requirements.
- Prepare monthly, interim, and final fee applications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to requirements.
- Facilitate electronic filing (e-filing) within Federal Courts, including U.S. Bankruptcy and U.S. District Courts.
- Contribute to bankruptcy case pitches by preparing relevant documentation and materials.
- Support compliance efforts related to court-mandated fee requirements.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of legal support experience, preferably in a mid to large size law firm.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Familiarity with CM/ECF and PACER filing system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with Bluebooking, Westlaw, Compulaw.
- Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively.
- Able to interact with all levels of legal staff and personnel, including management and support staff.
- Team-oriented and able to work in a multi-office environment across all technology platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and able to follow up and follow through.
- Strong organizational, writing, communications, and time management skills.
- Self-starter with a collaborative "get the job done" attitude.

Salary range based on experience level and location is estimated to be in the range of $100,000-120,000.
