Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cabinet and Fixture Maker to join our Corporate Retail Store Support Team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and installing custom cabinetry and fixtures for our retail stores, as well as, travel to and assisting in planned store remodels to reflect the high standards of our brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and install custom cabinets, shelving, counter tops, fitting stools, mirror stands, and other various store fixtures, and millwork for retail environments.
- Collaborate with designers and architects to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design concepts.
- Work with a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and laminate to construct fixtures that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Operate woodworking machinery such as miter saws, table saws, sanders, plainer, radial arm saw, shaper and other tools, ensuring safety and precision in all tasks.
- Perform finishing work such as sanding, staining, painting, and varnishing to achieve high-quality finishes. Must be able to stain and spray lacquer.
- Travel
- Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Perform repairs and modifications to existing fixtures as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and techniques to deliver innovative and cutting-edge solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker, Fixture Maker, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Proficiency with woodworking tools, machinery, and finishing processes.
- Experience working with different materials (wood, metal, laminate, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50#, move heavy materials, and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in carpentry or woodworking preferred.
