Responsibilities
- Follow legal guidelines to create and execute health and safety plans
- Enforce health and safety policies within the workplace
- Evaluate existing practices to assess their risk and adherence to the law, revise as necessary
- Conduct site orientations
- Engage crew members, correct hazards, and lead safety meetings
- Conduct site audits
- Bachelor’s degree in safety management or related field is preferred
- 3-5 years of construction safety experience
- Previous experience working around and in excavations and / or earth retention projects is necessary
- Knowledge of health and safety guidelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable giving presentations
- OSHA 30
- OSHA 500 is preferred
- CHST, CSP, or other BSCP credential is preferred
- Must live in or within reasonable driving distance of Baltimore, MD
