Press Operator Job Summary:
The stamping press operator forms sheets of metal that produce finished materials and maintains departmental requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operates press by placing sheets of metal on a die.
- Aligns metal properly so the press can form a sheet of metal to proper specifications.
- Inspects finished parts for quality.
- Informs supervisor of problems with equipment or materials.
- Document daily production totals
- Maintains a clean area around stamp press
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous related experience preferred; however, on-the-job training is provided.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to operate stamping press.
- Able to bend or kneel frequently.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $12.50 per hour
