The Assistant Manager plays a critical role in the operational success of Brown Wilbert. This position is pivotal in supporting the Plant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the plant, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining compliance with company safety standards. This position is a hands-on role. and earns a competitive wage of $28.81-$32.83/hour.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee and participate in daily production operations, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Train and mentor manufacturing delivery staff, providing guidance on best practices, quality controls and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with the Plant Manager to ensure smooth workflow, daily production schedule and timely resolution of issues.
- Interpret engineering specifications, plans, and job orders to workers and assign jobs to meet predetermined delivery deadlines. Maintain all inventory at satisfactory levels.
- Confer with the Plant Manager to coordinate operations and activities within but not limited to production, delivery maintenance, loading and unloading product and housekeeping.
- Ensure compliance to policies, procedures and work instructions that meet industry standards and follow Federal State and County guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within manufacturing environment, 3-5 year preferred.
- Experience producing concrete products is a plus.
- Customer Service is the key to success in this role. Must be able to work well with internal and external customers.
- Possess strong leadership skills including the ability to manage time effectively and communicate clearly and distinctly.
- A keen attention to detail is essential.
- Proficiency in problem solving and being able to act intuitively is needed.
- Driver's License is mandatory, Class A preferred.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to lift up to 90#
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
