Browne Summer Camp, is an ACA accredited coed day camp for ages 3 - 13. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Pool Director for summer 2025 who loves camp and kids. The Pool Director will oversee all aspects of the camp's aquatic program, including ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers and staff using the pool facilities.
Dates: June 16 - August 8, 2025
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Pay: $12.41-19.75/hour based on experience

Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Required certifications (must be current): Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid
- Previous experience in a leadership role in aquatics, preferably at a summer camp or similar setting.
- Previous lifeguarding experience
- Experience working with children and teaching swim lessons
- Strong swimming skills and the ability to swim long distances
- Good physical condition and stamina to perform rescues and remain alert for long periods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Responsibilities
Supervise and train lifeguards, providing guidance and support as needed
Teach and schedule group and private swim lessons
Supervise campers (ages 3-14) during swim time to ensure their safety and well-being
- Maintain accurate records of pool usage, water quality, and incident reports
- Conducting regular inspections of the pool and equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness
- Conducting pool maintenance tasks as needed
- Enforcing pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly environment
- Responding quickly and effectively to emergencies, including performing water rescues and administering first aid as needed
- Maintain health, safety, and professional standards at the pool under the guidance of the camp administration
- Additional duties as required by administration
Reports to and evaluated by the Director of Auxiliary Programs & Director of Camp Operations
Our Summer Camp Program will operate from June 16 through August 8, 2025. Orientation and training are mandatory and will be provided prior to the first day of camp. Get ready for a summer of fun by joining the Browne Summer Camp team!
