Accounting and Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage financial records and streamline bookkeeping processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in payroll, bank
reconciliation, and ledger management, with strong organizational skills. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact backed by a supportive management team. We are a collaborative work environment and support theprofessional development and growth of our employees.
The ideal candidate lives in Brownfield, TX or the surrounding area and is willing to be in the office 5 days a week. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer Sponsorship. Brownfield Farmers Coop will not hire any applicants for this role who require employer sponsorship in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, maintaining accurate ledgers, and managing multiple bank accounts.
· Reconcile bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and make necessary adjustments.
· Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP.
· Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and statements for internal review and external reporting as needed.
· Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including managing invoices, processing payments, and tracking outstanding balances.
· Maintain organized financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
· Provide general administrative support related to financial management, including filing, data entry, and handling financial inquiries.
Qualifications:
· Previous accounting/bookkeeping experience is required.
· Experience with payroll, bank statement reconciliation, and general ledger management is preferred
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required. AgTrax accounting software experience is a plus.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records and transactions.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members and stakeholders.
