Our legal team is seeking an experienced and organized paralegal to play a key role in assisting our clients with applying for disability benefits such as Social Security and Medicaid.
Responsibilities:
- Apply online and in person for Social Security Disability benefits, and Medicaid for our clients.
- Complete applications and forms online.
- Receive and review correspondence from Social Security and Medicaid.
- Respond to requests for information and proof by providing medical records.
- Apear in person for appointments at our local Social Security office to provide information as requested.
- Maintain client information and files in an organized manner.
Qualifications:
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar.
- Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills.
- Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
- A BA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies desired.
- Experience and familiarity with Social Security Disability and Medicaid rules and processes.
