Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our team at Browning Chapman, LLC. Browning Chapman, a rapidly growing specialty contractor with operations in Indianapolis, is looking for experienced brick masons to work in commercial, industrial and institutional environments with our masonry crews This position is responsible for building and repairing walls, and other structures with brick, terra cotta, precast masonry panels, concrete block and other masonry materials. Located in the United States, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to exciting construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform masonry work including bricklaying, stonework, and blockwork.
- Ensure the quality and durability of all masonry installations.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Estimates the materials needed for each job
- Corrects any safety hazards ad reports them to foreman
- Reads and follows technical drawings
- Trains apprentices as needed to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner
- Mixes cement and mortar on the job site as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Proven experience in masonry or related construction fields.
- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials.
- Familiarity with safety protocols in construction environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
