Job Summary
Browning Chapman, LLC is looking for motivated individuals to join our team for daily warehouse operations at our office in Fort Myers, Florida. Your primary responsibilities as a warehouse employee will include (but not limited to) picking, packing, loading/unloading trucks, setting up job boxes, making deliveries to jobsites, managing inventory and returns and more. Preferred candidates are motivated, punctual, hardworking, reliable, and willing to learn as you perform the required duties.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (inspect, load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, organize, store)
- Safely load and unload products for trucks
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Deliver to and pickup from jobsites (equipment, tools, material, etc.)
- Assist with the organization, inspection, inventory, and maintain company tooling equipment
- Process shipments both incoming and outgoing
- Ensuring the day-to-day functions of the warehouse run smoothly
- Use a forklift for loading and unloading construction equipment and material
- Receive and verify the accuracy of incoming shipments
- Deliver tools, equipment and/or materials to regional jobs with a company truck and trailer
- Provide basic care and maintenance for equipment
- Maintain inventory of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
Requirements and Skills
- 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be DOT certified
- CDL preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent – preferred
- Must be able to speak fluent English
- 1-2 years of previous warehouse or general labor experience – preferred
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Efficient in fast paced environments
- Dependable and reliable, good time management skills
- Knowledge of basic construction processes preferred - tools, equipment and materials
- Occasional travel required
Mechanical experience, as well as forklift certified training is a plus but not required. Needed certifications can be completed after hire.
