What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patch Paving Foreman position at Browning Contractors Inc?
Browning Contractors Inc. is a leading underground construction company for the Central Valley. We are looking into adding to our Patch and Pave crew and are looking for experienced Asphalt Foreman to help lead a crew. Browning Contractors prides itself with completing projects in a timely manner and keeping our customers content, therefore it is vital that all applicants are eager to learn and work well in a team environment to ensure customer satisfaction. Our ideal candidate has considerable professional experience in construction, particularly with asphalt projects. You must also possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Detailed knowledge of asphalt construction procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Resolve problems with projects, materials, and workers as they arise
- Supervise workers throughout the shift, ensuring safety, appropriate work stoppages, and organization
- Coordinate tasks and schedules for crew members
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy construction projects·
- Sweeping and raking the deck·
- Transporting rakes, lutes, shovels, and spay cans to the paver· Sweeping and cleaning the area in front of the paver·
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools·
- Measuring and lining out the area for the day’s paving·
- Shoveling material out to the end gate·
- Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards· Perform material handling and storage· Load and unload trucks - haul and hoist materials· Control traffic at worksites by flagging to guide traffic through work areas, as required or assigned· Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and training· Ensure proper safety and notify foreman, safety director or HR of any issues

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
