Position Overview:
As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient coordination of our moving operations. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to develop their skills in logistics and operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities and a keen eye for detail while managing various aspects of our moving projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Warehouse Team: Liaise with warehouse personnel to receive and inspect incoming freight. Ensure that all shipments are properly documented and organized for efficient processing.
- Project Management: Pull and prepare projects for delivery, ensuring that all items are accurately accounted for and ready for transport. Collaborate with warehouse staff to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Scheduling and Routing: Efficiently schedule and dispatch moving crews and vehicles to meet customer delivery windows. Optimize routes and coordinate with drivers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, and warehouse staff. Address any inquiries, concerns, or issues promptly and professionally.
- Multitasking: Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including tracking shipments, updating delivery statuses, and managing scheduling changes. Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and unexpected challenges.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including delivery schedules, inventory counts, and customer interactions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage several responsibilities at once. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new software and systems. Familiarity with dispatch and logistics software is a plus. Previous experience in customer service, logistics, warehouse or a related field is helpful but not required.
