Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations for Sand and Gravel. Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the plant, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the manufacturing process.
- Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
- Monitor production metrics and prepare reports for upper management regarding performance and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments such as quality assurance, supply chain, and maintenance to optimize overall plant performance.
- Conduct regular assessments of equipment and facilities to ensure optimal operation and maintenance schedules are followed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Plant Manager or in a similar managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance improvements.
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics to inform decision-making.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
