REQUIRED
- A valid Texas Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
- Over 6 months related experience.
PREFERRED:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required, in English;
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Assists with inspection of structure to ascertain obstructions to be voided to prevent weakening of structure resulting form installation of pipe. Assists in locating and marking position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors. Assists with cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
Assists with cutting and threading pipes. Assists in joining pipes by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulk joints. Assists in filling pipe systems with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking. Assists in installation and repair of plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, water heaters, hot water tanks, and water softeners. Performs maintenance, plumbing and repair work assigned while maintaining a high standard of safety cleanliness, and efficiency. Drives District vehicles to and from work site; obeys all traffic laws.

Maintains professional growth by attending in-service and meetings as requested/required.
Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Director.
