SpecPro Sustainment & Environmental is seeking a CAD Technician to provide computer-aided design (CAD) support for civil works infrastructure projects. The CAD Technician will assist in the preparation of technical drawings, 3D models, and design plans for projects such as roadways, utilities, levees, channels, and dams. This role requires proficiency in Autodesk products, including Civil 3D, and the ability to lead and support CAD staff in developing high-quality technical deliverables.
The CAD Technician will be responsible for providing engineering design support by creating and modifying detailed 2D and 3D drawings for civil works infrastructure projects. This includes utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D and other CAD tools to develop technical deliverables in compliance with industry standards. The role requires collaborating with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to interpret project requirements and generate accurate design documentation. Additionally, the CAD Technician will ensure proper file management, maintain drawing revisions, and contribute to the overall quality control of design outputs. The position also involves leading and mentoring other CADD staff in producing precise and efficient technical drawings, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all deliverables.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting design work on civil works infrastructure projects (roadways, utilities, levees, channels, dams, etc.).
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and other Autodesk CAD software.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and technical drawing development.
- Ability to create and edit 2D and 3D models for engineering and construction purposes.
- Experience in leading CADD teams and ensuring quality control of technical deliverables.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
- Associate’s degree in Engineering, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), or a related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in CAD drafting and design for civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience using Autodesk Civil 3D and other design software.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support other CAD staff in producing technical deliverables.
- Ability to work in an office and field environment, including occasional site visits.
- Ability to perform desk work for extended periods, including sitting and using a computer.
- Capability to travel as needed for project site assessments and stakeholder meetings.
- Primarily operates in an office setting with occasional fieldwork.
- May involve exposure to construction sites, varying weather conditions, and physical site inspections.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, contractors, and government agencies..
