What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Technician-Staffing and Classification position at BRS?
TekPro Support Services (TSS), LLC is seeking a Human Resources Technician with a focus on Staffing and Classification and will be responsible for the following duties:
Minimum Experience: Minimum of 3 years of HR Experience which shall include experience in each of the following areas: Labor and Employee Relations, Staffing and Classification and Workforce Development (WFD), and experience working on human resources laws, policies, rules, and procedures for the aforementioned program areas. Must possess knowledge of Government regulations, policies, and practices under Title 5, United States Code, and other statutes and legal Authorities for Federal Human Resources. Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.

- Provide HR administrative and technician services to NSWCPD’s Staffing and Classification Branch located in the HR Office. The contractor shall assist with the in-processing of newly hired employees. The contractor shall be responsible for New Employee -Orientation (New Hire Boot Camp) to include preparing new hire folders, assisting new hires in completing onboarding forms and presenting the HR portion of the orientation.
- Create and enter applicant information and tasks in USA Staffing (on-boarding.) The contractor shall provide applicants with the link to access on-boarding forms and instructions on completing the forms that are necessary to obtain a security investigation. The contractor shall communicate with applicants providing them the link that allows them to accept the on-boarding forms. They shall print all completed forms necessary to conduct a security investigation
- Complete, sign and accept in-processing forms from applicants.
- Responsible for the scanning and emailing of payroll forms to the local finance office for processing. Responsible for verifying new employee information in the E-Verify and Selective Service database.
- Print, review and verify accuracy of personnel actions processed by the servicing center.
- Compare the personnel action against information provided in the recruitment package and notify the HR Advisor of any found errors or concerns.
- Assist the recruitment coordinator in the upload of resumes into ERecruiter; label folders for HR Advisors and provide administrative/technical support at local career/job fairs.
