Eagle Integrated Services, LLC (EIS) is seeking a Laboratory/Animal Technician II to support the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD).

- Workday monitoring of experimental NHP research subjects in support of USAMRICD for Repurpose Study.
- Assist in pre-surgical, surgical, and post-surgical procedures necessary for implant of telemetry devices to monitor physiological parameters in non-human primate subjects.
- Habituate test animals to restraint chairs.
- Perform daily data collection and notebook entries and daily reports to Principal Investigators.
- Maintain laboratory and telemetry equipment/supplies.
- Perform physiological monitoring, as required.
- Ensure the quality of procedures and data and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Schedule and execute experimental procedures to include test drug preparation, blood sampling and physiological monitoring.
- Perform solubility studies of various therapeutic compounds of interest; assess animal health and behavior for safety and efficacy of novel candidate therapeutic compounds following administration by intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intravenous routes; record findings in laboratory notebooks during or immediately following the experiments.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor degree from an accredited university/college in Biological sciences or similar field or years experience.
- Knowledge of pharmacology and neuroscience as applied to medical defense research
- Experience working in a research laboratory
- Experience executing animal use protocols.
- Experience handling NHPs preferred, or 1 years in animal or husbandry research
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent adaptability to new research team/project assignment per organizational needs
- Direct experience conducting operant in vivo behavioral training/testing
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- An active DoD Interim Secret clearance is required
