What are the responsibilities and job description for the Writer/Editor position at BRS?
TSI Federal is seeking at Writer/Editor. Duties include assisting, advising, and coordinating with the COPS Office staff on the production of materials to be distributed; writing and editing COPS publications and communications, in a manner consistent with the COPS Office Style Guide; researching, analyzing, and presenting information, often from multiple sources, on a variety of topics related to community policing; collecting, recommending, selecting, creating, and organizing illustrative materials; working with COPS Office staff to ensure the receipt of appropriate clearances prior to publication release; making recommendations on gaps in needed publications and resources while ensuring that all existing and recurring publications remain updated in content and format; and providing the COPS Office with information on innovations and best practices in product development, marketing and dissemination.
