Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security of our systems. This role requires a strong background in computer science and hands-on experience with various technologies. You will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's IT needs and driving technology solutions that align with our business objectives.
Duties
- · Installs, configures, supports, monitors and tests hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners. Also, troubleshoots problems pertaining to WAN/LAN during and after business hours.
- Responds to equipment breakdowns by repairing equipment and replacing parts.
- Attentive to computer equipment electrical safety.
- Investigates and assists in diagnosis of computer software and hardware faults.
- Provides end-user support for all LAN/WAN based applications. Also, sets up accounts for staff, ensuring they know how to log into systems and solves password problems.
- Actively participates in the company’s technology strategy development.
- Maintains accurate inventory of company’s IT assets and software licenses. Manages stocks of equipment, consumables and other related supplies.
- Performs routine security checks on the system. Installs, repairs and removes wire and cable lines. Assists in the installation and maintenance of system backups, migrations, restorations and data replication processes.
- Supports security policies in the implementation, monitoring and auditing of IT services, applications and WAN/LAN infrastructure. Maintains and reports status of projects and assignments to management on a regular basis.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Information Technology/Systems or closely related degree and a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years experience with Microsoft networking infrastructure and Microsoft operating systems.
- Proficiency in supporting LAN/WAN based applications.
- Proficiency in utilizing VMware ESXi, Windows Server, Cisco Meraki.
- Prior working knowledge with Datto, 3cx and IIS & Microsoft SQL Server is helpful.
- Strong understanding of computer networking principles and practices.
- Solid understanding of system architecture concepts and design principles.
- Ability to investigate future technology trends that can benefit the organization.
