Job Skills/Requirements
Receiving and Shipping:
- Unpacking, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments.
- Handling damaged items and discrepancies by contacting the shipper.
- Moving shipments using lift trucks or hand carts
Inventory Management:
- Recording all transactions in an ERP system, including transfers, receiving, and order pulling.
- Conducting cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Material Handling:
- Calculating material usage for production, especially raw materials like metal.
- Cuts metal pieces for production, using a brake press.
- Reading drawings and manufacturing instructions to ensure proper size and accuracy of cuts.
General Duties:
- Housekeeping and ensuring safety rules are followed.
- Recording work activity either manually or digitally.
- Completing other tasks as needed to support production.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical experience may be substituted).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing warehouse.
- Familiarity with inventory management in a WMS or ERP system.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing work orders.
- Prior experience managing multiple SKUs or part numbers.
- Must be able to cut metals to specifications.
- Strong math skills.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean record (CDL not required).

Summary
As a Receiving/Inventory Clerk, you will be integral to the efficient operation of our warehouse, reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving goods, maintaining the warehouse and cutting sheet metal as needed for production. With core skills in warehouse and metal experience, you will utilize premium skills in warehouse and inventory systems. Your relevant skills in receiving and basic math will support our business.
