Purchasing Specialist

Bruce Matson Company is a family owned and operated cabinet manufacturer seeking a Purchasing Specialist to help in our Kent, Washington facility. We are looking for hard working, honest people that take pride in what they do to be part of a team that fabricates, cleans and packages cabinets for large commercial projects.

Skills required:
· Researching and identifying prospective suppliers.
· Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations.

· Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records.

· Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions.

· Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements.

· Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns.

· Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and resolving shortcomings.

· Analyzing industry and demand trends and supporting senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.

· Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Experience required:

· 5 years of experience in a purchasing/procurement role.

· 2 years of wood manufacturing industry experience.

· Good working knowledge of purchasing and inventory strategies.

· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

· Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

· Team player with strong organizational skills.

· Proficiency in business application software, purchase, and resource planning systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
