As our Senior Electrical Estimator, you are a valuable part of our success collaborating with the team to deliver "Powerful Solutions". You will use discretion and independent judgement to estimate project costs based on specifications, drawings, and prior experience. Keeping raw material, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation you will identify required resources while staying within budgetary limits.
Some of the Work You'll Do:
- Independently review plans and specifications for accuracy
- Coordinate with Procurement for supplier and contractor quotes
- Determine labor hour quantities for estimates
- Independently supervise bid generation and ensure data accuracy
- Utilize existing project cost data in bid generation
- Lead Bid Walks and recommend bidding
- Conduct Hand-Off meeting with Project Manager post-award
- Optimize job methods for efficient bid completion
- Identify potential allies and manage discussions
- Review bids with the team (Chief Estimator, PM, or Department Manager)
- Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and customers to gather industry updates
- Provide customer advice and consultation for estimating future workloads
- Collect post-bid debriefings with customers

What You'll Need:
- BS in Electrical Engineering preferred
- 5 years of experience in electrical estimating
- Knowledge of project estimation, project management, and commercial/industrial construction
- Knowledge of NEC and local codes and requirements
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Familiarity with Estimating Software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
