As a Testing Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems. Your work will include on-site testing, diagnostics, and commissioning across commercial, industrial, and utility markets. You'll be part of a team committed to high-quality standards, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safety First: Act as a safety leader by identifying and mitigating hazardous situations while balancing scheduling and cost constraints.
- Electrical Testing & Diagnostics: Conduct on-site testing and analysis of various electrical systems to ensure performance and compliance.
- Technical Assistance: Provide mentorship and support to field personnel, guiding them through best practices in testing and commissioning.
- Data Management: Create, maintain, and distribute detailed test reports and equipment data.
- Project Collaboration: Lead field teams in testing and commissioning activities, working closely with engineers, project managers, and clients.
- Customer Relations: Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure ongoing support and service.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in project support tasks, troubleshooting, and process enhancements to optimize efficiency.
- Flexibility & Travel: Travel as needed, including overnight stays and participation in job site meetings.
Education & Training
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
Knowledge & Experience
- 5 years of experience in electrical testing and system diagnostics.
- Proficiency in reading architectural, structural, and electrical plans.
- Familiarity with various electrical systems, components, and industry terminology.
- Experience with test equipment such as:
- Power Factor
- Ductor
- Megger
- CT Ratio & Saturation
- Hi-Pot
- Circuit Breaker Timing
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical system failures.

Other Requirements

- Ability to operate a full-size pickup truck.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, with flexibility for overtime, weekend work, and travel as needed.
