What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician Specialist position at BrucePac?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Practice OSHA safety standards and support team safety awareness.
2. Maintain all internal equipment, external facilities, and equipment for proper operation and safety.
3. Coordinate and prioritize assigned daily workload based on the schedule.
4. Independently troubleshoot, complex, automated equipment with a high degree of quality in a sustained quick and reliable problem solving and corrective process.
5. Perform and lead planned maintenance activities, including preventative & predictive maintenance throughout the facility.
6. Continue to learn complex equipment by studying equipment manuals, conduct research and utilizing internal knowledge to keep abreast of new technologies, processes, and equipment.
7. Perform equipment failure analysis. Make suggestions and work on continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Technically identify and support process optimization through equipment design improvements.
9. Assist with written documentation and regulatory recordkeeping responsibilities as defined in the SOP’s for equipment.
10. Perform other maintenance duties and lead special projects as required or assigned. Must be able to work in a team environment. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field, OR Manufacturing Plant Electrician or equivalent license issued by the relevant state, OR a minimum of 15 years relatable work experience.
2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive and practical experience performing maintenance on complex automated manufacturing equipment. Must have extensive experience working with PLC controllers, electrical components, reading electrical drawings, mechanical, pneumatics & administrative skills.
3. Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and structural drawings.
4. Must be able to provide service on an emergency basis, including nights and weekends and during plant shutdown, and provide technical support of the entire operation as needed.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, in written and spoken English, with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
