Responsibilities
New opportunity for a Field Service Engineer with Mass Spectrometer experience to install and support high technology equipment in research labs of pharmaceutical companies, universities and government research labs for Bruker Daltonics, a leading manufacturer of mass spectrometry instruments and accessories. You will work with highly complex equipment that requires a basic physics understanding of the instruments serviced.
- Familiarize and train customers for basic operation of the equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting which involves operating instrument via remote diagnostic software: independently determine whether onsite visit is required.
- Re-qualify the entire instrument after service repair by running complex compounds for verification.
- Organize and prioritize schedule in accordance with customer requirements to determine needs for immediate attention, onsite visits, and remote assistance
- Attend in depth product training on new and updated Bruker products in German factory by product experts.
- Communicate and work closely with Service and Support Centers.
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
To be successful for this position, you will possess:
- B.S. in Chemistry, Analytical chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Biotech, Biology or Chemistry related fields or equivalent experience.
- New or within 3 years’ experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical and/or electronic equipment on mass spectrometers.
- Technical skills involving analytical instrumentation.
- Excellent customer focus with ability to reliably respond to inquiries, communicate and interact with Scientists in Biochemistry, Biophysics or Microbiology.
- Excellent verbal, written, MS Office, computer, technical data, and networking communication and presentation skills, with ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.
- Valid Drivers' License
- Intermediate level written and spoken English language ability.
