As a Manufacturing Engineer, Reagents you will support our company's growing consumables (Reagents and Chips) manufacturing team. The primary responsibilities of this role will be twofold 1. manufacturing product that will go directly to customer hands and 2. Following SOPs in order to perform quality control experiments. The Manufacturing Engineer, Reagents will work closely with our Quality and Operations teams to support ongoing manufacturing of existing products and R&D teams with manufacturing feasibility tasks. The ideal candidate will have a background in Biology, or equivalent. Experience in reagent production, and quality control (QC) in a manufacturing setting is desired.
* Operate manufacturing lines for both Optofluidic and Proteomic product lines.
* In the spirit of continuous improvement, evaluate Production/QC methods, quality controls, and processes to ensure delivered products meets expected quality and performance standards, making suggestions on how to improve when applicable
* Be responsible and accountable for the quality of products through testing and finding ways to improve our process.
* B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent with 1-4 years of hands-on experience with manufacturing and/or quality control manufacturing setting for chemicals/reagents.
* Experience with cell line bring up, maintenance, and validation.
* Experience performing reagent QC using common analytical techniques: UV-Vis spectroscopy, pH measurements, binding affinity measurements, particle density, etc. This might also include running functional tests on BLI platforms as needed.
* Experience using and maintaining laboratory equipment (pipettes, biosafety cabinets, centrifuges, vortexes, etc.)
* Strong attention to detail with good documentation skills.
* Perferred troubleshooting skills, including the ability to isolate and resolve component level failures.
* Preferred experience with conjugation of Beads, dyes, DNA Oligos, and proteins.
* Well organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
* Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and interface positively with other team members and departments.
* A passion for technology and a willingness to take ownership of results.
Professional Characteristics:
* Relevant experience in the Life Science industry.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
* Strong aseptic techniques.
* Preferred experience operating in a clean room environment.
* Experience with manufacturing change control processes.
* Preferred experience with GLP/cGMP and ISO quality standards.
At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $69,300 and $121,000 provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
