JOB SUMMARY
Brundage-Bone Concrete Pumping has an immediate opening for full-time Assistant Parts Manager based in our Charlotte, NC Branch. Reporting to the Parts Manager, this position is responsible for selling, ordering, and delivery of parts.

COMPENSATION
We are offering $65,000-$75,000 per year depending on experience plus overtime. Full benefits for employee and family members
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Receive and fill orders by ordering and purchasing parts.
· Sell and ship parts to customers.
· Fill customer orders from stock.
· Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customer’s descriptions of malfunctions.
· Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
· Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
· Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
· Demonstrate equipment to customers and explain the functioning of equipment.
· Perform inventory of stock and maintain inventory control.
· Mark and store parts in stockrooms according to prearranged systems.
· Maintain customer and parts utilization files.
· Create, maintain and distribute reports as required.
· May need to teach customers how to operate small line pumps or other equipment. May need to train operators on equipment.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
This position may supervise a Parts Assistant.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
· Experience with inventory control systems.
· Experience as a mechanic and welder preferred but not necessary
· Operating knowledge of concrete pumps, laser screeds, and tele belts preferred but not necessary
· Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred but not necessary.
· Able to discuss use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of machines or equipment.
· Operating knowledge of computers and inventory control software.
· Strong sales and influencing skills Knowledge of principles and methods for demonstrating, promoting, and selling parts.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Excellent relationship management skills. Outstanding phone etiquette.
· Excellent customer service skills. Able to conduct customer needs assessment, meet quality standards for service, and evaluate customer satisfaction.
· Able to prioritize among competing requirements.
EDUCATION
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Mechanical trade school preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Combination Indoor office, indoor warehouse, and outside work environments.
· Must have manual dexterity to climb on and around the pump truck in all weather conditions common to the area of the country.
· Must be able to reach above head, climb ladders for access to inventory, and lift and carry parts.
· Must be able to verbally communicate to others.
· Must be able to meet requirements for hearing and seeing.
· Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
· Must be able to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
